All of the woods I use in my furniture are locally (MO/IL) grown and harvested. Much of the lumber I use is milled from trees that were removed due to construction or were brought down by storms.

On the rare occasion I am in need of an exotic or non readily available species, I am sure to
seek out and purchase it from the most sustainably responsible source.

While current trends have me working mainly with the well know hardwoods walnut, white oak
and cherry, I also try to design and build with lesser utilized though equally beautiful and durable
local woods such as ash, sassafras, honey locust and others.
